Traveling on foot or by bike will bring you closer to the land and the people were you will visit. It has teaches me more than I could have ever learned by other means. The experiences stay with me and they accompanies me in daily life. Making ways, being on my way and finding joy in all these steps is our lifetime work.

Love to make routes in different countries and regions. I am now on my way to Mecca Inshallah. Together with you we will make a long and unforgettable journey to Mecca. Maybe our journey will (not) be in person but definitely within reach of our hearts.
Pray an Al-Fatiha for our sake when you read this and maybe also when you are on your way to Mecca, mentally of physically.

Sufi Trail would not have a foundation without Marc. Enormously wide experience, a lot of fun to work with, and amazing with numbers and organizations.
The smallest, little things that have never mattered in the work life of Marc. Now a pensioner with insight into not only complex things but also keeps everything clear and easy. We are very lucky that Marc joined the team, it’s like all our worries have been lifted when Marc came to help us.

Sufi Trail is developed and recorded by our team member Mehmet Kahraman. He is the best to have in your team with dogs on the road. He befriends all the dogs, knows all the ins and outs from the road to Konya and is a great GoPro recording of our adventures on the bicycle.
Mehmet knows how to keep the team happy, we love to have him on board and look forward to developing the Sufi Trail together with Mehmet.
Odile Keulers

Sufi Trail has been marked by the support of our heavy duty carrier Odile Keulers. She is a pensioner and knows about hiking and cycling from a lifetime experience.
She is a strong lady, has supported early road development and is an excellent sticker and marking volunteer.
Odile is athletic and knows more about culture than most of us.

The man that makes our work known, spreads the news and manages the most interesting connections all over the trails. Already part of the team since Rumi Trail where we got introduced to the people from all walks of life.
The best weekend was with mum and dad Carlak! For many people, Burhanettin Carlak is an important man. The so-called bridge maker between seemingly different worlds. We are proud to know Burhanettin Carlak and had the privilege to stay with mum, dad, and the imam. It’s all about family and the love you can spread in one lifetime.

Cheerful and clever, a genius when it comes to design and self-learning. She has mastered many complicated programmes easily. Loves organizing, creating and setting up projects. She is the creating energy behind all the books, the Sufi logo, and posters and surprises us often with bright and brilliant insights. Young vibrant Merel is Sufi. We are always full of joy when she is creating new Sufies, like you discover another talent with every corner you turn together. She is also an excellent traveller with hardly any stuff and loves Sweden. Merel is also quick in learning new things like Swedish, easy for people like her.
Linda Pijl
Route Artist
Linda has a special talent. Not only is she the maker of the Sufi Trail hand-painted stone, she is also the maker of several markings along the route. She is hiking with friends along the Sufi Trail, is a talented artist and has brilliant ideas.
She welcomes our pilgrims, and you can collect your special hike with Linda stamp with her. Furthermore, she lives near the Sufi Trail and speaks Dutch and Turkish fluently.
